Offense - Tressel
Ball is not getting it done. The spread offense is not OSU's
style. Pittman is a great running back and needs to get the ball 25+
times per game. This will control the clock and grind out
yardage. Smith can't read the defenses correctly or fast enough and
has happy feet. That is complicated by the fact that he can't hold
onto the ball. We need to put a lead blocker in for Antonio and
bring in a tight end and run the ball. Zwick is a great pocket
passer and reads the defenses better than Smith and has better touch on
his passes.
Defense
- The
D is doing a great job, inspite of the fact that they spent alot of time
on the field. After adjustments they always end up shutting down the
opposing offense. The Secondary is playing great and hitting
hard. We still need to force more turnovers.
Special Teams -The
blocked Field Goal attempt for a TD was a major momentum swinger.
Need to be more consistent on our returns and hold onto the ball!
Coaching -
Tressel needs to
read my above note on the offense! They need to come down hard on the
turnovers and work on holding onto the ball!
